CAMPINAS, Brazil – Poultry processing company Aurora Alimentos is sustaining its tradition of setting new Brazilian performance records with Ross® 308 AP broiler breeding stock. The scores achieved by the large poultry cooperative are possible only through excellent flock management skills, hard work and dedication.
On Aug. 22 in Chapeco, Brazil, Aurora recorded the following 2018 performance results:
|Pedro Luis Grunwaldt||São Miguel da Boa Vista, Santa Catarina (SC)||542 EPEF Males|
|Izolde Bevilacqua Bortolotto||Maravilha, SC||523 EPEF Males|
|Edegar Luis Angonese||Quilombo, SC||464 EPEF Females|
|Neri de Gregori||Jacutinga, Rio Grande do Sul (RS)||434 EPEF Females|
The scoring was evaluated using the European production efficiency factor (EPEF), which considers feed conversion, livability and daily weight gain – all performance areas where the Ross 308 AP excels.
Tradition of high performance
Aurora has been impressing with its performance in parent stock and broilers for awhile now. In 2016 Aviagen recognized the company for its 510 EPEF score with Ross 308 AP broilers, and again earlier this year it produced 204.7 total eggs and 168 eggs per hen housed with Ross 308 AP parent stock (PS).
Aviagen awarded all winning Aurora members with a special plaque during a celebration on Aug. 22.
Marco Aurelio Araujo, Aviagen technical services manager, stated, “Understanding the skill and diligence involved, I’m truly impressed with the results accomplished by these Aurora members, and look forward to seeing future Aurora successes.”
“Aviagen Latin America is committed to Aurora, and work closely with them to add value to their business,” added Luciano Mecchi, Aviagen regional sales supervisor.
“I congratulate Aurora and its members and am proud of this achievement, which is a great example of what is possible with the potential of our Ross birds.”
