ABC-LA 2018 objectives met
For Aviagen Latin America President Ivan Lauandos, the objectives of this year’s ABC-LA were fulfilled. "The two main goals were met, which were to bring information to our customers in Latin America with a focus on the future, and to provide opportunities for them to exchange ideas and build and strengthen relationships with one another. Aviagen is committed to continuous improvement for the benefit of our customers and stakeholders, and ABC-LA has helped us to demonstrate our strategic decisions in terms of product, investment and people for this future, which will arrive very quickly. As a primary breeding company, we are strongly dedicated to the global poultry industry, and especially to our region, which continues to grow and prosper. Our intention is for customers to return to their operations with information that prepares them for success now and in times to come.”
History of bringing together business leaders
ABC-LA began in 2004 as the Latin American Ross® Association (LARA) in Santiago, Chile. In the early years, the event was dedicated only to distributors and Ross GP customers in the region. In 2012, the event was renamed Aviagen Business Conference - Latin America (ABC-LA) and was held in Cancún, Mexico, expanding to serve both parent stock customers as well as Arbor Acres® customers. Aviagen organizes ABC-LA every two years.
