CAMPINAS, Brazil – On Oct. 16, Aviagen® welcomed 170 Ross® 308 AP customers from across Colombia to Bogota, for a day filled with knowledge-sharing and relationship-building. Management tips relating to fertility, female reproductive health, nutrition, and effective incubation were shared with the group. Other beneficial topics included the current and future broiler performance outlook, as well as the performance and favorable characteristics of the Ross 308 AP.
Popularity of the Ross 308 AP broiler breeder has grown in Colombia and throughout Latin America. To meet this strong demand, earlier this year Aviagen established operations in Colombia and Peru. As a result, Aviagen now has three strong bases for supplying Latin America with high-quality broiler breeders: Brazil, Colombia and Peru.
The market success is due to key Ross 308 AP traits that benefit customer operations all across the continent. These strong broiler and breeder performance characteristics include a healthy growth rate and meat yield, unsurpassed feed efficiency and good chick numbers.
Andrés Parra, Sales and Technical Services Manager for Aviagen in Colombia emphasized the company’s strong commitment to its customers: “Aviagen is proud of the hard work of our customers in advancing the poultry industry in Colombia. Sharing the latest flock management techniques and developments and working alongside them to improve the performance, health and welfare of their flocks is one of the best ways we can support their efforts.”
“We’re committed our poultry producers in Colombia. To strengthen their success, we plan to organize more and more training conferences with our local customer support team and with our Aviagen worldwide specialists,” commented Gerardo Vesga, General Manager for Aviagen in Colombia.
