CAMPINAS, Brazil – Between April and July, Aviagen Latin America hosted a series of 15 webinars, aiming to stay in close contact with customers and promote the success of their poultry businesses during the current global pandemic, which prevented in-person meetings.
During the virtual sessions, the team welcomed more than seven thousand poultry producers from throughout Latin America. Offered in Portuguese, Spanish and English, the meetings were led by 15 different Aviagen, academic and industry specialists from Latin America, Europe and North America, including Emilio Cura, Marcelo Silva, Guillermo Ruiz, Jose Juan Bruzual, Aline Kuntze, Alvaro Uribe, Richard Bailey, Mike Czarick, Rodrigo Espinosa, Anne-Marie Neeteson, Dinah Nicholson, Nick Dorko, Mário Sérgio Assayag and Susan Watkins. Together, the participants and tutors engaged in an exchange of knowledge and ideas on current best practices for optimal broiler and breeder management. Current hot topics included broiler and breeder nutrition, disease resistance, hatchery and incubation management, water management and biosecurity, among others.
“During the current pandemic and always, we’re committed to our customers. In addition to supplying them with quality breeding stock, we equipped them with the latest knowledge and innovations to ensure their success in putting #FoodOnEveryTable in their local communities,” explained Aviagen Latin America Marketing Manager Fábio Carnevale. “The webinars proved to be an effective tool for sharing valuable information with our customers, and we were delighted at the overwhelmingly positive response, with the number of participants multiplying at each session. Due to this popularity, we are considering a new series of webinars, so stay tuned for further information.”
