CAMPINAS, Brazil – Aviagen® hosted a series of seminars for customers of IP-CMI Industria Pecuaria, a successful breeder and broiler producer in Central America earlier this year. Aviagen experts shared the latest knowledge for getting the highest performance, health and welfare from Ross® broiler breeding stock. More than 200 growers from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Costa Rica gathered in different seminars to explore the latest developments in biosecurity, nutrition, incubation and other topics that promote the successful management of Ross birds.
"Aviagen is committed to helping our customers in Central America feed their local communities with a quality source of protein,” explains Aviagen Technical Services Manager in Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean (CAME), Jorge Amado. “Key to their success is knowledge to help them improve the performance of their flocks and the economic success of their businesses.”
“We received positive feedback from IP-CMI representatives. The seminars gave us a unique opportunity to share our latest research findings with them, discuss their challenges, and further strengthen our common bonds,” added Juan Diez, Aviagen Business Manager for CAME.
Osvaldo Zamora, IP-CMI manager in Costa Rica, emphasized that the meetings provided an important forum for Aviagen to share the latest breeding advancements with the customers of IP-CMI. "The event provided an invaluable opportunity for us to give field-level information to growers in Central America. Our aim is for them to take this information back to their home operations and achieve even better results with their Ross birds.”
